THE PLOT:

It's been eight years since Scott Calvin has become the new Santa, eight uneventful years. Now the next clause in the Santa Clause is starting to take effect, the Mrs. Clause as in he needs a Mrs. Claus. Or lose the power of Santa forever.

Scott has grown into his new job as Santa and is determined to keep it, so he sets out to find a wife, but no Elf must know that he's away from his post. The answer, a Toy duplicate of Santa.

To hinder Scott's quest Charlie is getting in trouble in school for protesting the Principle's lack of Christmas spirit. Plus Toy Santa is getting plastic toy delusions of Grandeur and turns from a jolly old elf to a tyrannical dictator determined to ruin Christmas, for his plastic mind all children were naughty and deserve nothing by coal.

Can Scott find a Bride, help Charlie and save Christmas????

ZEDD'S OPINION:

I enjoyed this one even more the original. I loved Tim as Toy Santa, even though if I wrote it I think Santa Toy would have sounded better. But the only thing I'm peeved about is there is no score higher then 10 stars, so I am giving SANTA CLAUSE 2 10 STARS. But in my heart I give it 12 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd on this. This was better then the first movie, it delves into Santa's world allot more in depth. The meeting with Mother Nature, the Tooth Fairy and other legendary beings was just great. But without giving too much away, I noticed a mistake, there was one scene when they break one of the giant toy soldiers and his parts goes flying, it was hallow, where was the gears and stuff to make him walk and move his arms, that was a major goof and I can't let that slide. I give it...8 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ STORY (The story works again, it was worth the eight year wait)
+ CAST (THe cast really works, there was some magic there)
+ EFFECTS (We love the effects)
+ MAKE UP EFFECTS (Tim Allen as Toy Santa really looked like he was made of plastic and the other make up effects were perfect also)
+ TIM ALLEN (Tim Allen was perfect as the insane Toy Santa)
+ RETURN CHARACTERS (We both were glad the old cast as well as the new characters)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- NO GEARS (The lack of gears really took away from the realism of this movie)

AND FIANLLY...

- FAN BASED (If you didn't like the first movie or aren't into this holiday for whatever reason, then this isn't the movie for you.)
