THE PLOT:
Scrooge was a cold and greedy old man who cared little for Christmas or merriment. All old Scrooge cared about is gold.
Until one Christmas eve night when he was visited by the ghost of his two dead business partners. Marley and Barley who tells
him that unless he changes his way he will be condemned to eternal torment unless he changes his way and to help to face his
past, present and future he will be visited by three ghosts.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I am and always will be a Muppet fan and this movie is no exception. Even though they took liberties with the Dickens novel
it wouldn't be the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last time either. But as the adaptation is for children I think
they did better then ABC family who censored up "Stingiest Man In Town" and didn't remove the sad parts. This is
a good movie and I have no major complaints. 9 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
If you know me then you already know my feelings about the Muppets. I've been a fan of the Muppets since I was a teenager.
That's right, I loved the Muppets and my favorite character is Ms. Piggy. Who has the role of Emily Crachit and charms us
for the brief time she's on screen. I give THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL 10 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ MICHAEL CAINE (Michael does a great job as Scrooge.)
+ STORY (Not too many changes.)
+ NOT DUMBED DOWN (ABC family censors the sad parts in one adaptation. But not the Muppets.)
+ FUNNY AND TOUCHING (You laugh one minute and cry the next.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- MINOR CHANGES (There was no Barley in the original story.)
...AND FIANLLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't into Christmas, or Dickens or the Muppets then this isn't for you.)
