ZEDD'S OPINION:

I am not the biggest Tim Burton fan. I'm not crazy with the changes he made to BATMAN, PLANET OF THE APES OF WILLEY WONKA. But the man knows animagic. That's what they call this style of stop motion made famous by Rankin and Bass. The Nightmare is funny, it's scary, it's touching. Everything you're looking for in a Holiday movie for the whole family. I give it...10 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

Monsters and Christmas? Doesn't sound like there's a connection, does it? But I give Tim Burton credit where credit is due, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS is a clever and unique piece. Worth watching over and over again. But if you are big in scares in your Christmas or you don't celebrat e this holiday, then this isn't the movie for you, as for me I give it 10 STARS.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ STORY (Honestly, when I first heard about the story, I didn't think it would work, but I was wrong. It works beautifully)
+ MONSTERS (Famous monsters such as the MELTING MAN along with new kinds of monsters)
+ MUSIC (The music is wonderful and memorible)
+ CAST (The voical cast did a mavelious job)
+ DANNY ELFMAN (I knew he was a great composer, but who knew he could act or sing?)
+ DARKLY FUNNY (We both loved the dark rich humor of the movie)
+ TOUCHING (It touches the heart and tugs the heart strings)

AND FINALLY....

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- MONSTERS AND CHRISTMAS (If you don't celebrate Christmas or you're the type that thinks monsters should stick to Halloween movies, then this isn't the movie for you)
